Job Description:

We are partnering with a friendly, community-focused dental practice seeking a Full-Time Dental Hygienist who enjoys building patient relationships and providing high-quality care.

Schedule (Consistent Full-Time Hours)

• Monday: 8AM – 6PM
• Tuesday: 8AM – 5PM
• Wednesday: 8AM – 6PM
• Thursday: 8AM – 5PM
• One Saturday per month: 8AM – 5PM

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing
• Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and taking vital signs
• Take and interpret dental X-rays while following proper radiation safety protocols
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and long-term dental health
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and treatment notes in Dentrix
• Follow strict infection control and sterilization protocols
• Collaborate with the dentist and team to deliver a comfortable, positive patient experience

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
• Experience using Dentrix for documentation and scheduling preferred
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control standards
• Ability to accurately take vital signs and complete patient assessments
• Excellent communication skills with a compassionate, patient-centered approach
• Comfortable working with patients of all ages, including pediatric patients
