Job Description:
We have a locum tenens position available for a General Dentist to work with a Community Health Center, with the potential to transition to a direct hire. The need is immediate.
Schedule is Monday through Thursday with a half day on Friday, covering three locations to make up a full 40-hour week if desired.
Scope of work includes exams, cleanings, fillings, and extractions. The patient base includes adults, children, and patients with cognitive disabilities (non-combative, simple procedures only). Inmates are seen in a mobile unit with a guard present at all times, limited to exams and extractions.
Support staff includes one EFDA and two dental assistants. At least three years of experience preferred. A Louisiana Medicaid number or willingness to be credentialed, along with a CDS and DEA, are required. Travel and lodging are available for out-of-area providers.
