Dental Hygienist – Contract Opportunity
Up to 40 Hours per Week | Flexible Scheduling
We are excited to partner with the Indian Health Service to recruit Dental Hygienists for the White Earth Health Center. The clinic is seeking up to four contract hygienists to support the Dental Department and help ensure patients continue receiving consistent, high-quality care.
This opportunity offers flexible scheduling and may be filled by one full-time hygienist working 40 hours per week or multiple part-time hygienists sharing the schedule.
Practice Locations
The primary practice site is:
White Earth Health Center
Providers will also deliver care at two nearby satellite clinics:
Pine Point – approximately 15 miles from Ogema
Naytahwaush – approximately 35 miles from Ogema
Travel between locations may be required as part of the weekly schedule.
Schedule
Clinic hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Up to 40 hours per week (2,080 hours annually)
Flexible coverage model:
One full-time hygienist, or
Up to four part-time hygienists
What You’ll Do
The Dental Hygienist will provide preventive dental care to patients of all ages in a collaborative, patient-focused clinical environment. The Dental Department has strong administrative support, including assistance with scheduling and appointment coordination, allowing hygienists to focus primarily on patient care.
Responsibilities include:
Performing dental cleanings and preventive hygiene services
Conducting oral health assessments and documenting findings
Providing patient education on oral hygiene and preventive care
Identifying potential dental conditions and referring patients to the dentist as appropriate
Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation
Supporting a positive, team-oriented patient care environment
Patient Population
Hygienists will treat approximately 8–10 patients during an eight-hour workday. Patients range in age from infants to elderly adults, so comfort working with a diverse patient population is important.

The Dental Department provides administrative support for scheduling and appointment coordination, allowing providers to focus on delivering excellent patient care.
