General Dentist

Job Description:

We have a contract position for a General Dentist to work at the State Training School in Eldora, a secure juvenile residential rehabilitative facility in Iowa. The position will be for three (3) to four (4) visits per month, up to eight (8) hours per visit, not to exceed 14 days between visits, to be coordinated with the facility’s contract manager.

The Dentist will provide services to male youth ages 12–18. Responsibilities include performing oral examinations, providing preventative care, delivering restorative treatment, and performing tooth extractions as needed, collaborating with facility staff to support individualized care plans, and contributing to the youth’s overall rehabilitation, health, and transition back into the community, in accordance with facility policies and professional standards. The Dentist must hold an active Iowa State Dental License, comply with all applicable state and federal regulations, and provide a phone number for after-hour emergencies.
