Job Description:
We have a wonderful, well-established general dental practice seeking an experienced Part-Time Treatment & Insurance Coordinator to join its friendly, patient-focused team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a supportive, low-stress environment where exceptional patient care is the priority.
The ideal candidate is confident discussing treatment plans and financial arrangements, has extensive dental insurance knowledge, and is highly organized with outstanding communication skills. This practice is looking for someone who can work independently, provide excellent patient service, and become a valued member of the team.
Job Overview
Timeline: The selected candidate will begin as a temporary employee in September for an initial evaluation period of approximately one month to ensure it's a great fit for both the practice and the candidate. Outstanding performance may result in an earlier permanent offer.
Schedule (2-Day or 3-Day Work Week):
- Monday: 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM (required)
- Wednesday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Thursday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Friday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Occasional Saturday (approximately one per month): 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Note: Monday is required. You can choose either a 2-day or 3-day weekly schedule by adding Wednesday, Thursday, and/or Friday. Availability for an occasional Saturday (about once per month) may be requested depending on business needs.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of recent front office experience in a general dentistry practice
- Strong working knowledge of Dentrix (required)
- Extensive experience with dental insurance verification, benefits, claims processing, PPO insurance posting, and financial arrangements within a general dentistry setting
- Thorough understanding of general dentistry procedures and CDT dental codes
- Experience scheduling patients and coordinating follow-up care
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Professional, reliable, and dependable with a proven attendance and work history
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
- Currently working in a general dentistry practice or actively attending a dental-related educational program (preferred)

Candidates who are currently working in general dentistry or actively attending a dental-related educational program are preferred.
